How Can We Help?

What is the University Hospitals Health Scholars Program? The Health Scholars Internship Program is supported by UH through its Health Impact office. Our mission is to empower all students and especially underrepresented students in medicine through a continuous six-year program to build on the student's existing talents, skills, and gifts and prepare them for healthcare careers beyond high school. Health Scholars are nurtured with the thoughtful support of UH clinicians and partners. Students receive guidance in applying to college and support in developing a career plan and staying on that plan. Our ultimate goal is that they become healthcare professionals in the Cleveland area, where they grew up!

What are your policies on COVID-19?To ensure the safety of our community, our Health Scholars, our Healthcare Providers, & our Patients, we must follow ALL University Hospital policies surrounding in-person programming. At this time, a COVID-19 vaccine is not required to participate in the program. However, if a student has been vaccinated against COVID-19, they are welcome to provide the appropriate documentation at the time of onboarding. Students with exemptions can complete an exemption form upon submitting their application. Please Visit Our COVID-19 INFO PAGE for More Info!
